Whether you got all you wanted from Santa or not, you might want to consider checking out the upcoming Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo in January at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. Buying a boat is certainly a gift that the entire family will be able to enjoy come warm weather and will get your New Year off to a great start.

Without doubt, the main reason to visit the Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo is to check out the many boat options available, and with 20-plus marine dealers displaying models ranging from aluminum jon boats that will only set you back $500 to the top-of-the-line Fishing Machine priced at a cool $100 grand, there is a boat that’s perfect for your needs and your wallet. And of course, Boats Unlimited will be there with the best our three locations have to offer boat lovers.

Expert anglers

Once your boat shopping is complete, the Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo has a variety of fishing experts, activities and other shopping opportunities for you to explore. There will be more than 100 retail and speciality tackle shops with products for sale, including some great discounts. The Mountain Trout Pond Simulator will be back, giving all who want a chance to try their luck at catching farm-raised rainbow and brown trout.

Finally, don’t miss the freshwater and saltwater seminars and the impressive line-up of speakers the show is offering to help you increase your knowledge of fishing. The speakers are a who’s who of the country’s top fishing professionals, ready and willing to share their insights with you. The show will run January 12 through 14. Friday and Saturday doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the show concludes Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for children, 6 to 12.
